Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting market research and talent mapping to build robust pipelines for engineering, data, product, and AI-focused roles. You will use advanced sourcing techniques to reach passive candidates, collaborate with hiring managers to refine search criteria, and manage outreach efforts across professional networks. This role is well-suited for a professional with over three years of experience in technical recruiting or sourcing who possesses strong data analysis skills and a proactive approach to building diverse candidate pools. What you’ll do As a Senior Technical Sourcer, you will be a strategic talent partner responsible for identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of world-class technical talent. You’ll collaborate closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and technical leaders to deeply understand role requirements and develop proactive sourcing strategies that fuel both immediate hiring needs and long-term growth. You’ll leverage advanced sourcing techniques, data insights, and market mapping to uncover exceptional talent across engineering, data, product, AI, and emerging technical domains. This role requires creativity, persistence, and strong business acumen to engage passive candidates and position Brex as an employer of choice. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening our diversity sourcing strategies and continuously improving sourcing processes and tools. Where you’ll work This role will be based in our SEA office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work! Responsibilities Lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for technical roles across engineering, data, product, AI, and other specialized functions. Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and talent mapping to inform hiring strategies and pipeline development. Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through creative outreach across platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and other talent networks. Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align on candidate profiles, calibrate talent, and refine search strategies. Build and nurture long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles, including future-facing skill sets. Champion diversity sourcing initiatives to attract underrepresented technical talent. Track, analyze, and report on sourcing metrics to continuously optimize outreach effectiveness and pipeline health. Maintain accurate candidate data and activity tracking within recruiting systems and dashboards. Contribute to process improvements, sourcing best practices, and knowledge sharing within the recruiting team. Requirements 3+ years of experience sourcing for technical roles (e.g., software engineering, infrastructure, data, product, AI) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Demonstrated expertise in advanced sourcing techniques, Boolean search, talent mapping, and market research. Strong understanding of technical skill sets, engineering org structures, and emerging technology trends. Proven ability to engage and convert passive candidates through thoughtful, personalized outreach. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with technical leaders. Data-driven mindset with experience using sourcing metrics to refine strategy and improve results. Ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Bonus points Experience sourcing for AI/ML, agentic AI, or other emerging technical domains. Experience recruiting or sourcing across multiple geographies (e.g., US, Canada, LATAM). Familiarity with tools such as Gem, Greenhouse, or other modern sourcing
