As a Systems Engineer on the Email Service team within the Emerging Technologies & Incubation group, you will design and build features that improve how email is sent, received, and monitored at scale. Day‑to‑day work includes implementing deliverability enhancements, optimizing time‑to‑inbox, creating APIs for new product capabilities, and writing code in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, and Go. You will own features from concept through release, collaborate across teams, and may be required to participate in on‑call rotations to address production issues. The role suits candidates with experience in transactional email infrastructure, a solid grasp of email standards like SPF, DKIM, DMARC and VERP, proficiency in at least one strongly‑typed programming language, familiarity with the Cloudflare Developer Platform, and the ability to drive projects independently. Additional assets include deep Linux/UNIX knowledge and technical writing skills.
