VP, Global People Business Partners

Lyft · San Francisco, CA

Lyft is a company in the rideshare and mobility technology sector focused on building a hybrid transportation network. As the VP of Global People Business Partners, you will serve as a key advisor to the Chief People Officer and the executive leadership team, shaping the organization's human capital strategy during a period of international expansion and growth. This role involves leading the global People Business Partner organization, overseeing enterprise-wide workforce planning, and managing the human capital workstream for M&A activities, from initial due diligence through integration. You will be responsible for organizational design, leadership development, and modernization of the People function to ensure the workforce remains agile and effective. The position requires a seasoned executive who can operate at both a high strategic level and a granular operational level, navigating complex challenges such as cross-border integration and workforce analytics. This role is well-suited for an experienced human resources leader with a track record of driving large-scale organizational change, managing global teams, and partnering directly with C-suite executives to align people strategies with business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. Lyft is in a defining moment: accelerating growth, expanding internationally, and building the world's leading hybrid rideshare network. How we build, organize, and lead our people will determine how well we get there. As Vice President, People, you will help drive the business forward through the strength of our people strategy, serving as a right hand to our Chief People Officer and a trusted advisor to Lyft's executive leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned people executive who operates at altitude and on the ground in equal measure, thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and is energized by the chance to own some of the most complex and consequential work in the function. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the People Business Partner organization, own workforce planning for the enterprise, and drive the human capital strategy behind Lyft's M&A activity from diligence through integration. You'll partner directly with the executive leadership team, represent the People function in cross-functional forums, and shape the org design, structure and ways of working that will carry Lyft into its next chapter. You'll anticipate challenges, help leaders look around corners, and bring forward-thinking solutions to keep Lyft's workforce agile, engaged, and ready for the future while shaping how the People function itself grows from here. Join us and help shape the future of work at one of the most mission-driven, people-focused companies redefining mobility.
