Reddit is a large-scale social platform defined by its diverse communities and user-generated content. As the company expands its advertising ecosystem, it is seeking a Staff Threat Analyst to lead the operational architecture for advertiser fraud within its safety division. This role involves taking end-to-end ownership of the strategy, detection playbooks, and enforcement frameworks required to protect the platform from bad actors. The successful candidate will perform deep-dive investigations into complex fraud networks, such as account takeover, payment fraud, and deceptive advertising, while collaborating with cross-functional product, engineering, and data science teams. You will be responsible for translating adversarial insights into scalable, automated defense systems and defining the long-term vision for risk mitigation. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in threat intelligence, trust and safety, or ad tech integrity who excels at building systems from the ground up. Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience in big data environments and machine learning applications, is essential for analyzing large-scale datasets and developing high-precision detection logic.

Conduct deep-dive investigations of fraud networks and root-cause analysis. Translate findings into detection logic, risk scores, and automated pipelines. Develop operational playbooks, escalation frameworks, QA standards, and feedback loops. Requirements 7+ years experience in threat intelligence, ad tech safety, trust & safety investigations, or platform integrity. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and big data environments. Experience with AI/LLMs and ML-based detection classifiers. Deep knowledge of digital ad ecosystems and fraud archetypes. Familiarity with global ad compliance and privacy regulations.
