Responsibilities - Build Discord’s creator strategy from the ground up, including direct conversations and understanding creator needs. - Consolidate existing creator work, establish ownership, and create coherent programs. - Define creator criteria and develop approaches for selecting and serving trusted groups across games, platforms, formats, and communities. - Create programs focusing on accelerated support, clear escalation paths, and reliable two‑way communication channels. - Manage relationships with key creators, understand their use of Discord, solve problems, and build trust. - Build a creator council/network to gather feedback and identify platform gaps. - Develop systems and playbooks to scale programs while maintaining responsiveness. Requirements - 7+ years experience in creator partnerships, community, platform programs, marketing, product partnerships, or related fields. - Deep familiarity with how creators build audiences and manage communities on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Patreon, Reddit, and Discord. - Proven track record building and operating creator or partner programs at scale. - Ability to ship and iterate quickly, launching useful first versions and improving over time. - Comfortable leading as an individual contributor and creating alignment across cross‑functional teams without direct reports. - Excellent cross‑functional partnership skills with Support, Product, Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, Policy, etc. Bonus Points - Experience building creator, partner, ambassador, advisory, or VIP programs for consumer platforms. - Designed accelerated support or escalation programs for influential users. - Direct experience working with gaming creators.
