Zscaler is a cloud‑security firm that provides the Zero Trust Exchange platform, a large‑scale SASE solution that secures user, device and application traffic for enterprises and government agencies. The Major Incident Manager internship is a remote role on a Pacific‑time schedule, reporting to the senior manager of the CAP & Incident Management group. Interns will take full ownership of high‑severity service outages, from detection through resolution and post‑mortem. Daily tasks include declaring incidents, leading cross‑functional bridge calls with engineering, product, support and technical success teams, drafting precise status updates for customers and executives, and authoring detailed Root Cause Analysis reports. The position also involves participating in on‑call rotations, collaborating with problem‑management and support groups to identify recurring issues, and helping improve incident‑management tools and processes. The role is suited to candidates who are US citizens, have prior exposure to incident management or technical support, are comfortable using AI tools to streamline documentation, and can communicate clearly under pressure while navigating complex technical investigations.
